Zombie Ram

This one is based on upcoming Apocalypse (end of the world).

January 27, 2014 Los Angeles, California. There has been a weird zombie attack on the outskirts of the city. A bunch of infected zombies allegedly drove a bus as a battering ram into a secure barricade, astonishing the scientific community, which claims that zombies do not have intellect. The security officer at the barricade who went to fetch a drink while the incident occurred, retorted " Zombie attack in broad daylight, who could have imagined that? "

In last one year after the RAGE Virus outbreak, infecting 60% of the human population and initiating the modern era's Apocalypse, this the second time these half human creatures have shown unique adjustment. There were sightings of Zombies during dawn and dusk and now this attack proves they are capable of enduring direct sunlight. US President "Terminator" Arnold Schwarzenegger said " This unique mannerism of Zombies is alarming and we need to take some immediate steps to prevent future attacks". He however refused to comment on the questions regarding any potential usage of nuclear weapons on the high density infected regions.

Done all the modeling in Zbrush and and rendering in Vue.

Started with the scene first in Vue, made the zombies at the very end in Zbrush

I am enjoying modeling in Zbrush.

This one took most of my time but was fun creating.

Had a hell of a time making these, very time consuming.

Lord of Rings 4: The legend of Mirkwoods

Here is another 3D creation. This one went over 90 renders out of which first 30 I had to just disregard because I kept changing the scene in Vue, till I was satisfied with the lighting and location. Too many files, will take time to load.

Theme: As Peter Jackson is coming out with Lord of Rings Prequel : The Hobbit next year, maybe he will go ahead and move on to continue the story ( I know it ends at LOR3) with one of the main characters. I took Orlando Bloom as the main hero here as Legolas Greenleaf who was the son of Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm of Northern Mirkwood, with Gimli the Dwarf ,and an elder Elf lady, looking for a monster which is haunting the forest of Mirkwood. Killing it will lift the curse from the Mirkwood forest once and for all.

New United England , 21st November 2025 - Honda has launched a new line of Robots especially suited for babysitting and handling toddlers home alone. These bots, which come in various size and shapes can play orchestra, handle toys, change diapers, and with their special tracking devices can make sure that the baby is never two feet away. Equipped with high end Artificial Intelligence they can anticipate baby's crying and play antics to distract him or even make him sleep. Currently afforded only by the richest of the richest, Honda has sold its first pack of bots to the royal family of New United England for the new born prince. The only question to be asked is whether these machines can replace human care and love?

The aim of this work was to create a very complex scene directly in Vue and even texture it and render inside Vue.

The Concept : I have been watching "Supernatural" soap these days. The idea is inspired by Lucifer entering Sam Winchester's meat suit to start the Apocalypse.

Here its the Devil Rising as Sam with the Arch-Angel Wings ( Yup Devil is an Angel too) and the horns and his army rises in the grave yard.

I am uploading WIP screenshots (they are over 100 so I thought to put them in as collage formats).

The polygon count was going into billions from the very start with the dynamic ecosystem and I had to render in parts to save time. At the end final 3k resolution image took 4 hours to render at 72 DPI.

Even with my 12 GB RAM Workstation with a Nvidia Quadro Card Vue was giving [B]out of memory[/B] error for a 4000 resolution size with multi-passes.

Starring : Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Batman and Flash.

Aliens have taken over Earth and the heroes are on rescue mission, but realize they themselves needs to be rescued.

As a missile comes towards them Superman dives to be the shield.

Took me a good amount of rendering, couds and smokes all are 3d and took great time to render, meanwhile I was working on my clients book.

Thank god there wasn't a lot of plants or my system would have crashed.

It did shutdown once and I lost 6 hours of work, had to re position the super heroes again.

Hope you guys like it, this is my childhood dream to create scenes of the justice league ( yeah with the spiderman).

No post effects except the blue color of Spiderman.

Dragon Valley is a unique illustration because its not created out of imagination but by working on a concept art by @Rosh LiberaArtisti using photoshop.

Normally in movie or game studios, first the concept artist creates a 2d painting using digital software like photoshop.
The Job of the Vue Compositor is to create a 3d scene out of that sketch.

I liked the sketch by Rosh (which you can find here https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1839690411972&set=a.1348570214274.43689.1831906512&type=3&theater) and decided to create a 3D matte painting from scratch.

The major problem was in creating the similar atmosphere. Imagination is easy but building a scene from a concept sketch is really complex. Obviously it is not supposed to be exactly the same.

Took 12 hours total out of which the majority went in the atmosphere and rendering. Its looks like fantasy art but is completely 3d and can be animated.

This is the concept art used for building the scene.

My First 3D fantasy matte painting created using 3d Software Vue (PLE). Vue is famous for creating animation and matte paintings for Hollywood Movies. This is still Work in Progress . Total polygon count went upto 4.3 Billion Polygons. Planning to create a walkthrough animation on this scene.

Took me just 12 hours.

Wicked Sunny: The Curse of being a DaVinci

I read somewhere that Leonardo DaVinci didn't sleep for most of his life.

Today I can understand why!

DaVincis are one of the highly creative but also equally cursed souls on this planet.

Just because they have a different perception, they are mocked, ridiculed and criticized by this so called 'civilized and educated' society.

From Bruno to Galileo, from Pluto to Leonardo himself, all DaVinci types have faced the brunt of being the outcast, just because they were diverse and my case is no different.

All of last month, I was in New Delhi attending a workshop on electronics and Robotics. It was tiring but a very important journey. Robotics in India is just in its nascent stage and many private institutes are trying to bring it into the limelight.

Since I am a DaVinci, engineering and robotics run in my blood (though I easily get bored with the theory part). I required some practical knowledge, before indulging myself further with the plan of launching the first creative Robotics magazine in India.

After the workshop was over, I had to attend my cousin’s wedding in a small town nearby. The attitude of my relatives regarding my robotics workshop was very demoralizing.

Just because they cannot manage to do more than one thing at a time, they believe no one else can multitask.

Just because they run after earning money day and night, they expect everyone else to do the same. There is a limit of narrow mindedness but they had even crossed that.

During the wedding, for personal reasons I remained silent for most of the time. This was due to reasons from my past:- the reasons which still don’t let me sleep at night; the reasons which had triggered my DaVinci gene and made me realize my true potential.

But my silence instead triggered a chain reaction of events followed with insult, criticism, and mockery. During that whole period, I remained quiet because I have been taught not to disrespect the elders. Anyone else in my shoes might have retaliated in a very offensive manner.

I realized how difficult it would have been for DaVincis in the past, when the word of the Church was the law and anyone going against it was tortured and punished. Bruno was burned alive; Galileo spent most of his life in prison and even Leonardo’s life was hellish.

It doesn’t matter how hypocritical the word Democracy is; sometimes it makes perfect sense that I live in the biggest democracy of this world – Thank God for that! At least they haven't impaled my head on a pole for just being different, yet.

Every person is limited by perceptional boundaries. A frog living in a well, - cannot imagine the meaning of "ocean", no matter how much you try to explain it. Unless the frog experiences the ocean, it will never believe it exists.

In the same manner most of us try to gain comfort by following others around us, by imitating our surroundings, by setting ideals and goals pertaining to things and people which we desire or which we lack. The more we lack, the more unsatisfied we are with our life. I believe some people can never be satisfied. They believe they have everything, yet inside they are not and can never be happy.

So I don’t blame those who point a finger at me; instead I forgive them, because I can understand their perceptions and their limitations.

For DaVincis all this insult and mockery are normal. This didn’t happen for the first time, and won’t happen for the last time.

A true DaVinci is the one who picks himself up after every fall (mind you we keep falling for a lifetime), and still manages to resurrect his or destiny. For the rest, all will perish in the mist of time. Millions have come and gone on this planet,; who remembers whom?

P.S. - Even DaVincis are never accepted by their generation. Somewhere down the line, hundreds of years later, someone will pick up a DaVinci’s incomplete work from an excavation site and only then realize its true brilliance.

Till then if you are a real DaVinci, hang on, it’s going to be a rough ride.

I wish to end with this Urdu Poetry from Mirza Ghalib (another DaVinci who was never appreciated by his generation) –

कोई उम्मीद् बर नहीं आती
Neither is there hope for me,
कोई सूरत नज़र नहीं आती
Nor can I see my beloved’s face,

Built my first Remote Controlled Robot Rover

Built my own remote controlled Robot from scratch after an EFY workshop at New Delhi. The rover is very basic and requires a lot of improvisation but is a good base for learning Robotics. I soldered the whole PCB board myself and then tested each component in the Circuit. My teacher Col. N.C. Pandey really put in lot of effort in helping me built the robot.

The microcontroller used is Microchip's PIC.

Video was shot by my HTC handheld mobile and is a bit shaky. Then there were maid's children running around the rover, screaming and shouting.

I will be uploading the crane picking video when ever I get some time.

Why the name Wicked?

Sunny goes by this name on different communities and online games; that is why he uses the name Wicked Sunny.

We humans have a tendency to jump to instant conclusions. We have created boundaries around us - tagging things as good or bad, right or wrong, divine or evil. But we do not necessarily perceive truth at first sight, or draw correct conclusions about truth.

The name "Wicked" has been customarily imprisoned by the walls of intrinsic evil. However, “wicked” does not always inevitably imply “evil,” and Sunny chose this name to depict this broader perception.

People with good names can do evil things, while people with bad names can do good instead. It is time and mind which control their actions, and not their names.

Whether a person is wicked or not cannot be decided through the name he or she bears, but only through the actions he or she chooses to perform.

Sunny does not believe in self-promotion or promotion of his books. This is the reason he wishes to remain anonymous, and therefore uses his Wicked Mascot, instead of photos of himself.

After #WickedMonday (a day for anti-heroes) I wondered which will be the best day for calling Super Heroes?

Tuesday is alreay booked for #TweepleTuesday and friday for #Followfriday

So I thought Wednesday is the best day for the super hero feat after Anti-Hero massacre of WickedMonday.

So what exactly is #SuperWednesday and this hero Stuff? For that You will have to read WickedMonday first .

It will be done exactly like WickedMonday, just the heroes will replace the anti-heroes -

#SuperWednesday @WickedSunny> Batman @cheth > Spiderman @Sumeetchawla > Robocop @Joelcomm > Superman @yaniksilver > Daredevil ...etc

It is not necessary that you have to use one hero name only once, even two people can have the same name based on their characteristics.
